1. Introduction
These terms apply when South West Flat Roofing ("we", "us", "our") provides a quote, survey or roofing/building work to you ("you", "the customer"). By requesting a quote or accepting our services, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotes & estimates
Any price given before we've visited your property is an estimate only. All quotes are subject to a free, no-obligation site survey, after which we'll confirm a firm price before any work begins.
3. Call-outs & working hours
We don't charge a call-out fee for a standard survey or quote. Emergency callouts outside our normal working hours (8am - 8pm) may incur an additional fee, which we'll always agree with you before attending.
4. Guarantee
All installation and re-cover work carried out by us is backed by a 10-year guarantee against workmanship defects. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by third parties, structural movement, or lack of routine maintenance.
5. Payment
Payment terms are agreed with you in writing before work commences. We do not require payment in full before work has been satisfactorily completed unless otherwise agreed for materials on larger projects.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel a booked job with reasonable notice at no charge. If materials have already been ordered specifically for your job, we may pass on the cost of those materials.
7. Liability
We carry full public liability insurance and take reasonable care to protect your property while we work. We are not liable for pre-existing defects in a roof or structure that were not reasonably identifiable during our survey.
8. This website
This website is designed, built and hosted by TradeWebs UK on our behalf. TradeWebs UK's liability for any website hosting downtime or technical fault is limited to the monthly fee we pay them, and does not extend to South West Flat Roofing's roofing or building work, which is covered separately under sections 4 and 7 above.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
